Reuilly: Gerard Cordier Pinot Gris 2022
We've been importing wine from the Cordier family since 1971 and their Pinot Gris rosé (also known as Pinot Grigio) has been a long-time favourite. It comes from the limestone soils of Reuilly, where early-ripening Pinot Gris is solely used for making this regional speciality. Being very dry and lightly-coloured, it's characterfully aromatic with delicate red berry flavours that pair particularly well with langoustines, spicy Asian dishes like laksa or lemon-dressed salads.
One of our longest-standing suppliers, we have shipped wines from the Cordier family in Reuilly for over four decades. Along with their Sauvignon Blanc, they produce a soupçon of this 'onion-skin' colour Pinot Gris rosé - it too is unfailingly reliable. Crisp and youthful, this wine displays subtle scents of redcurrants and rose-hips, and a dry palate of summer berries.

Gérard Cordier
Gérard Cordier fashions a wonderfully unadulterated Reuilly Sauvignon Blanc, a wine worthy of wider recognition. It is produced with a view to domestic consumption more than any commercial considerations however. Volumes are invariably extremely low but the quality is always amongst the very best of the region. Not to be overlooked is Gérard’s sophisticated, bone-dry Reuilly rosé, made from pure Pinot Gris, which is seldom found on the export market. Among the longest-serving and most reliable suppliers to Yapp Brothers, the Cordier family produces traditional wines that have, thankfully, changed little over 4 decades.
