It's hard to believe these days but, between 1969 and 1997, Yapp Brothers focused almost exclusively on wines from the Rhône, Loire & Provence. The exceptions during this era were (Bruno Paillard) Champagne and Jasper Hill from Australia. These three formative regions still form the bedrock of our portfolio and, although the fortunes of individual appellations have plotted different trajectories, they provide an unparalleled window on to the diversity and quality of regional French winemaking.

An elegant, attractive Brézème Blanc that reveals aromas and flavours of nuts and orchard fruit prior to a clean, dry finish. This white Brézème wine benefits from decanting and should not be served too chilled. Ideal as an aperitif or with seafood, fish or poultry. Certified organic.

Bien classique! This refreshing, apple-scented Chenin Blanc will make a great aperitif or partner to goats cheese and salads. Vouvray Sec is the perfect foil for the locally-made potted pork rillettes, and together they make a dangerous combination as both are extremely more-ish.
2 x Côtes du Luberon: Château la Canorgue Blanc 2021£0.00
This organic provençal white wine from the Margan family at Château la Canorgue is a blend of Roussanne, Marsanne, Clairette and Bourboulenc, grown at an elevated altitude which imparts a notable freshness. It is light enough to be drunk on its own or with olives, but will happily stand up to bouillabaisse or pissaladière.

"Dark ruby. Heady, spice-accented raspberry and cherry scents are complicated by musky garrigue, floral and mineral nuances. Sweet and seamless on the palate, offering juicy, impressively concentrated red and dark berry and lavender pastille flavors and suggestions of cola and licorice. Firms up slowly on the finish, which is framed by slow-building tannins and leaves suave floral and red fruit liqueur notes behind. 91-93/100."

2 x Saumur Champigny: Domaine Filliatreau 2019£0.00
The Filliatreaus' principal cuvée in volume terms is their Saumur Champigny which is a big seller on the Parisian restaurant circuit. Like many Loire red wines, it is best served lightly-chilled and makes a great foil for simple grills or charcuterie.
2 x Bellet: Domaine de la Source Rouge 2018£0.00
A ruby-coloured, spicy, herb-tinged red Bellet wine that it is a delight to drink and shows high-quality, distinctive, artisanal winemaking at its best. It is dense and spicy with a fine concentration of dark, autumnal fruit and an attractive bouquet of dark cherries and berries.
Most of Bellet's production adorns the wine lists of Nice's more knowledgeable eating establishments, so at Yapp Brothers, we consider ourselves very fortunate to have these wines on our list. Certified organic.
