Rhône Magnums Trio
Bigger bottles from the North & South.
We are decidedly pleased to offer this impressive snapshot of the wines of the Rhône valley in larger format. Less cork pulling, more 'wow' factor, everyone loves a magnum, especially at this time of year.
This mixed case contains three 1.5 Litre magnums, one each of:
Brézème: Domaine Lombard Blanc 2019
"Brilliant straw-yellow. Aromas of ripe citrus and orchard fruits and jasmine are complicated by hints of honey and dusty minerals. Juicy and seamless on the palate, offering vibrant white peach and tangerine flavors that show sharp definition and spicy cut. The mineral note comes back on the incisive finish, which hangs on with very good tenacity. 91-92/100."

Crozes Hermitage Rouge: Alain Graillot 2017
"A fresh and focused style, with violet, white pepper, cassis and pastis notes streaming through, carried by a solid graphite edge through the finish. Drink now through 2027. 91/100."
James Molesworth - Wine Spectator.
Gigondas: Domaine du Grand Montmirail 'Vieilles Vignes' 2016
"The 2016 Gigondas Vieilles Vignes is 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre. On the nose, it's flowers and spice, hinting at violets but also cinnamon and clove. Medium to full-bodied, it's crisper than many Gigondas this vintage, with cherry, cranberry and pomegranate flavors framed by fine-grained tannins. It should drink well at least through 2030. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. Drink 2020 - 2030. 92/100."
