One of our most exciting recent wine discoveries has been the Saint-Chinian made by Jean Lacugue at his Château Milhau-Lacugue, 12 kilometres West of Béziers, at Puisserguier. Jean has 100 hectares of vines which are south-east facing on limestone hills surrounded by olive groves. Terrific light levels and a long, sunny growing season ensure phenolic ripeness at the time of harvesting for this up-and-coming estate in a seriously underrated and therefore great value appellation.View more wines from this producer...
