Savennières: Château d'Epiré 'Comtesse de las Cases' Moelleux 2018
This wonderfully honeyed, sweet Savennières wine has an alluring bouquet of stewed pears, beeswax and fleurs blanches and a ripe, rounded, terrifically textured palate of grilled nuts and orchard fruit with an underlying acidity and subtle mineral nuances.
A bouquet of dried fruits and a gently honeyed palate. It is already irresistible but should gain even more depth with bottle-age.

Château d'Epiré (Paul Bizard)
Paul Bizard, the amiable patron of Château d'Epiré, is a fifth generation vigneron with as sharp an insight into the region's wines as anyone in the vicinity.
The Château d’Epiré is one of the oldest vineyards in Savennières and it has been in the family since the 17th century. The vineyard has eleven hectares of which nine are for producing Savennières.
