Vougeot: Domaine Bertagna Premier Cru 'Les Cras' Blanc 2019

The historic village of Vougeot in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits is home to 11.7ha of Premier Cru vineyards with 'Les Cras' to the north of Vougeot's famous 'Clos'. Mostly known for reds, this rarer Vougeot 'Blanc' is similar to a Meursault in style with a little more fruit to back up stoney minerality, fresh acidity and typical Chardonnay stone-fruit.

Tasting Notes

The Vougeot blanc 1er Cru ‘Les Cras’ shows the trademark rich and generous wine style of the domaine; bursting with white flower, citrus fruit and grilled nuts on the nose, it has a great balance of both density and freshness.

Overlooking the famous ‘Clos’ of Vougeot, Domaine Bertagna’s wines are farmed organically (not certified), and green harvesting takes place to ensure only the best fruit makes it into the final wine.
