Wine Press Mixed Case Offer
Save £13.90

These six wines have all been praised by professionals recently, so this is an excellent opportunity to see what piqued their interest.

This mixed case contains two bottles each of:

Côtes du Rhône Villages Sablet: Domaine Saint Gayan 2016
"Lush, old-vine white from one of the Rhône 'crus'. Really good value for money."
Fiona Beckett - The Guardian.

Quincy: Jerôme de la Chaise 2018
"A great bouquet of blackcurrant leaves and actually rather soft! None of the usual Sauvignon crispness. You could easily serve this as a gentle aperitif. Drink 2019 – 2020. 16 points."
Jancis Robinson OBE, MW -

Mosel: Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt Alte Reben Trocken Riesling 2017
"I love von Kesselstatt wines. This one is a departure from their more familiar style of off-dry, grapey, soothing elixirs. Made from older vines (Alte Reben) and keeping the residual sugar level down to a rather pinched 7g/l, this is a genuinely dry and firm Mosel Riesling. This style is grabbing headlines in top German restaurants and wine bars."
Matthew Jukes - MoneyWeek Wine Club.

Vacqueyras: Pascal Frères 'Cuvée Spéciale' 2016
"Black raspberries, orange blossom, and sappy flower notes all flow to a medium to full-bodied, impressively textured, balanced Vacqueyras that delivers ample fruit and charm. Drink it over the coming 4-5 years. 90/100."
Jeb Dunnuck -

Lirac: Domaine Maby 'La Fermade' Rouge 2016
"It's got oomph and it's got style with rich, dark berry fruit, sturdy tannins and earthy, robust herbs and spice. If you like Châteauneuf-du-Pape but quail at Châteauneuf-du-Pape prices, you'll love this."
Jonathan Ray - The Spectator.

Minervois: Domaine Le Cazal 'Tradition' 2017
"The Derroja family has made wine here since 1870, with this minimal-intervention, old-vine blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan only made in the best vintages. Minerally brambles, silky mouthfeel, firm structure and graceful oak make it a still-youthful tipple. 93/100."
Tina Gellie - Decanter Magazine.

This mixed case includes

2 x Côtes du Rhône Villages Sablet: Domaine Saint Gayan 2016£0.00

This superb white Côtes du Rhône Villages Sablet, called 'L'Oratory', is made from a blend of Viognier, Bourboulenc, Clairette, Roussanne and Grenache. It is fresh and dry, with ample apricot and peach flavours offset by mineral undertones.

2 x Quincy: Jerôme de la Chaise 2018£0.00

This delightful, racy Sauvignon Blanc from Quincy is made by Jerôme de la Chaise, and has an excellent nose with classic elderflower aromas. This wine makes a terrific accompaniment to asparagus, seafood or fresh goat's cheeses.

2 x Mosel: Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt Alte Reben Trocken Riesling 2017£0.00

Classic aromatic Riesling with salty, spicy minerality that is sourced from old vines (over 25 years) in the Ruwer and Saar valleys.

2 x Vacqueyras: Pascal Frères 'Cuvée Spéciale' 2016£0.00

This Vacqueyras wine is a silky, spicy Southern Rhône Grenache blend that impresses customers and staff alike in successive vintages. Subtle enough to enjoy on its own, but sublime when paired with game dishes.

2 x Lirac: Domaine Maby 'La Fermade' Rouge 2016£0.00

"Already bottled, the 2016 Lirac La Fermade (54% Grenache, 24% Mourvèdre, and the balance Syrah) is medium to full-bodied, concentrated and textured, with the fruit forward, sexy fruit profile of this terrific vintage. Leafy herbs, lavender, blueberries and a kiss of graphite all emerge from the glass and it has sweet tannin and outstanding length. It too should keep through 2026, although there's no need to delay gratification. 91/100."
Jeb Dunnuck -

2 x Minervois: Domaine Le Cazal 'Tradition' 2017£0.00

A long-time quest for a great value Minervois wine came to fruition with this cracking little red from Domaine Le Cazal. It is a traditional un-oaked wine with fine garrigue aromas and a spicy mid-weight palate of dark berry fruit offset by supple tannins.
