Weingut Kruger-Rumpf
Kruger-Rumpf are members of the VDP (Verband Deutscher Prädikatsweingüter), the producers’ association for the top 200 or so German wine growers. Members have to stick to much stricter regulations for yields, grapes, harvesting plus environmental and sustainability criteria to produce premium wines at a range of quality and sweetness levels.
Based in the Nahe region to the west of Frankfurt, this family domaine has top quality vineyards across the local area, the intersection between the Nahe, Rheingau, Mittelrhein and Rheinhessen wine regions. Under organic conversion, they hand-harvest and use wild yeasts for fermentation.
Kolonne Null works with selected winemakers - mostly from VDP producers - to create wines that are particularly suitable for de-alcoholisation. Extensively tested prior to production, they produce a range of low alcohol vintage still and sparkling wines.
