At Domaine Jean Teiller in Menetou-Salon, Olivier and Patricia Luneau cultivate 18 hectares of vines; 11ha of which are planted with Sauvignon and 7ha with Pinot Noir. They are all farmed organically and are treated with natural infusions and extracts in order to insure optimum health throughout the growing season. Their white Sauvignon Blanc has quite exotic fruit aromas and a sensuous and supple stone-fruit palate with a harmonious conclusion. A sibling rosé (pure Pinot Noir) has an attractive coral pink colour, notes of raspberries and red cherries and a fresh finish. It doesn't demand food accompaniment but is terrific with summer salads and crab- or lobster-based dishes. Completing the range is a mid-weight Pinot Noir with a pretty red plum robe, red berry aromas and flavours supported by gentle tannins. It drinks well lightly-chilled and is ideal for picnics and barbecues.
