Based in Reuilly, the Cordier family have been supplying us with wine since 1971 so we are well-acquainted with their remarkably consistent winemaking. Production is dominated by a pure Sauvignon Blanc that yields a steely Reuilly blanc with a classic 'cut-grass' bouquet and zesty, citrus-edged palate. It makes an uplifting aperitif and is well-known as a failsafe partner to freshly-shucked oysters. They also make a marvelous pink from Pinot Gris that yields the palest and most evanescent of rosés. Redolent of redcurrants and raspberries with an elegant dry finish, it is perfect for al fresco imbibing.
