Our longest serving suppliers from the Central Vineyards are the Cordier family from Reuilly. Their Sauvignon Blanc has classic 'cut grass' scents and a whistle-clean palate with zesty mineral notes. They also produce a fine Pinot Gris – the palest of pinks with a bouquet of redcurrants and rosehips and raspberry flavours – it makes for quintessential al fresco imbibing. Reuilly is the most westerly of the Central Vineyard AOCs, all of which (Sancerre, Pouilly Fumé, Menetou Salon and Quincy) specialize in Sauvignon. Reuilly is the smallest with a tiny 130 hectares in production and the least well-known, but should not be overlooked.
