Tasting Notes

From the Côte Chalonnaise, Bruno Colin's delicious Rully 1er Cru is a great example of the quality and value to be discovered south of the Côte d'Or. Aromas of quince, lemon and crushed stone are followed by an expansive palate of apricots, tangerine and peach. This highly versatile wine will work beautifully with dishes from roast chicken to sole meunière or cauliflower cheese - dishes with buttery or creamy sauces.

Domaine Bruno Colin

Third-generation vigneron Bruno Colin grew up on the family domaine Michel Colin-Deleger on the Côte de Beaune. After training in viticulture at the prestigious school of Beaune, he began working with his parents and brother on the family vines in 1993. Ten years later the family split the domaine between cousins, and the eponymous Domaine Bruno Colin was born - with his first vintage in 2004. Now extending to almost nine hectares, Bruno has holdings in Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint- Aubin, Santenay and Dezize-les-Maranges in the Côte-Chalonaise. With vines across 22 appellations including eight Premiers Crus Whites in Chassagne-Montrachet, Bruno strives to reflect each differing terroir in his wines. His distinctive style focuses on expressing freshness and minerality and the best examples show a superb balance of tension and texture.
