New Zealand Wine

Rightly-admired for its aromatic Sauvignons and Juicy Pinot Noirs, the land of the long white cloud has championed quality over quantity during the past 40 years, gaining cult status among its followers, despite not making it into the Top 10 countries for wine production by volume. In keeping with our policy of finding characterful and individual wines which speak of their region, the wonderful Pinot Noirs of Edward and Marjory Leung were too good to miss. The Leung Estate was set up in the mid-1990s to take advantage of the deep, free-draining, gravel soils of Martinborough (on the southern tip of the Northern Island) which contains some of the best growing conditions for Pinot Noir in the Southern Hemisphere.
