Domaines François-Xavier Borie (Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste )
One of the rare châteaux in the Médoc to have all its 55 hectares of vines in one block surrounding the château, with owner François-Xavier Borie and family living on site. Only owned by 3 families in its lifetime, the incumbents took over the estate in 1978. The vineyards are planted to 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Vines age mostly from the early 1980s with some going back to the 1940s.
