We have always taken rosé seriously as a genre, so had plenty to choose from for this end of season au revoir. A strong line-up includes some of our favourites from the Rhône, Loire, Languedoc and South Africa.

This mixed case contains one bottle each of:

Yapp Rosé 2020
"Perfectly light and dangerously drinkable: Yapp Rosé 2020. This independent wine shop specialises in southern France, so it's no surprise that it has an amazing selection of rosés at all price points. Its own brand, an amber blend of grenache, syrah and merlot, is fresh, savoury, lightly flavoured with herbs and nectarines and dangerously drinkable."
Nina Caplan - Mail Plus.

IGP Méditerranée: Domaine Saint Gayan 'Argiles' Rosé 2020
Saint-Pourçain: Domaine de Chinière Rosé 2020
Chinon: Domaine Jean-Maurice Raffault Rosé 2020
IGP Pays d'Oc: Domaine Girard 'Garriguette' Rosé 2020
"Garriguette is made from Cabernet Franc and it is delicate, highly perfumed and scintillatingly sexy. This is a more delicate, enchanting style of wine, that leans towards seafood, crustacea and summery tarts."
Matthew Jukes - MoneyWeek Wine Club.

Napier Winery: 'Petite Marie' Rosé 2020
"The usual very pale pink. Interesting leafiness on the nose – you really can smell that this is based on Cabernet. Straight out of the Loire? Very direct and fresh, even though it's now a year old. A fair price for a distinctive rosé. Drink 2021 - 2022. 16/20."
Jancis Robinson OBE, MW. -

This mixed case includes

2 x Yapp Rosé 2020£0.00

The addition of this 'house' rosé back in 2018 completed our trio of reliable, bon marché own label wines under screwcap. This brick-pink blend of Grenache, Merlot and Syrah is produced in the saignée method and is sufficiently refreshing to serve as an aperitif sur terrasse, yet robust enough to complement a wide range of dishes - shellfish, fish, charcuterie or goats' cheese.

2 x IGP Méditerranée: Domaine Saint Gayan 'Argiles' Rosé 2020£0.00

A new rosé wine from a three hundred year old estate. Who says there's no innovation in French winemaking? This hand-harvested, IGP Méditerranée rosé is just the thing to quench the thirst during a hot summer in the Vaucluse.

2 x Saint-Pourçain: Domaine de Chinière Rosé 2020£0.00

A delicate, and decently dry, quaffable rosé wine, the Saint-Pourçain La Chinière offers a soft rose petal bouquet and pleasantly crisp acidity on the palate. Made from pure Gamay, it's a lovely, crowd-pleasing aperitif and a fantastic match for soft, creamy cheeses.

2 x Chinon: Domaine Jean-Maurice Raffault Rosé 2020£0.00

Rudolphe Raffault's Chinon Rosé is an outstanding expression of Cabernet Franc. With a limpid coral-pink robe, an inviting summer berry bouquet and racy redcurrant and raspberry palate preceding the freshest of finishes it is the quintessential al fresco aperitif.

2 x IGP Pays d'Oc: Domaine Girard 'Garriguette' Rosé 2020£0.00

From the Languedoc hills, this IGP rosé wine owes its freshness to planting at 350m altitude, receiving cooling breezes from both the Atlantic and Mediterranean. Classic Cabernet Franc gives beautiful berry fruit and acidity making this a wonderful food partner, particularly to sumptuous salads or chilli-spiced Asian dishes. ‘Garriguette’ is an early-ripening variety of strawberry with a particularly intense perfume. ‘Garrigue’ also references the scrub herbs and undergrowth common in the area.

2 x Napier Winery: 'Petite Marie' Rosé 2020£0.00

Delicate salmon-pink rosé wine from the vineyards of Wellington in the Western Cape of South Africa. Made from 100% Cabernet Franc, it has a floral nose with pink grapefruit, guava and rosehip notes that follow through onto the plate. Creamy and with a hint of Szechuan pepper spice, this is very moreish and ideal for alfresco imbibing!
