Praised in Print Mixed Case Offer
Wines applauded by journalists.
Happily, our wines have received plenty of acclaim from critics recently. Don’t take our word for it – take theirs!
This mixed case contains two bottles each of:
WHITE:
Côtes du Rhône Villages Sablet: Domaine Saint Gayan 'L'Oratory' 2022
"Elegant and floral, well balanced, good sense of finesse. A lovely silky touch on the palate and no oak getting in the way of the intense melon and pear flavours. Very classic for a Villages white – all about fruit and flowers, and authentically Rhône, really lifted and joyful."
Matt Walls - Decanter.com
Chablis: Domaine Christophe Camu 2023
"It has that elusive whisper of honey on the nose – it's there and it's gone – and a green apple-laden, bone-dry finish. It's fresh and – thanks to the fruit of 50-year-old vines – intense and concentrated." Jonathan Ray - The Spectator.
Menetou Salon: Domaine Jean Teiller Blanc 2022
"Full yet refreshing, this strikes a perfect balance between character and drinkability. The Sauvignon Blanc fruit is ripe and inviting without loss of crunch. A core of pear, melon and peach is coated by hay, white flowers, fennel and blanched almonds."
Ines Salpico - Decanter.com
RED:
Côtes-du-Rhône: Domaine Maby 'Variations' 2021
"It's nicely balanced, lightly floral, expressive."
John Livingstone-Learmonth - DrinkRhone.com
Tinto Negro: Uco Valley Malbec Cabernet Franc 'Limestone Block' 2020
"The 2020 Malbec Tintonegro Limestone Block is mixed with 12% Cabernet Franc, both from Los Chacayes, Uco Valley, where the vines grow in rocky, sandy soils with traces of calcium carbonate. Aged for 12 months in 15% new used oak. It is an intense, reddish purple. The 2020 offers rather liqueur-like aromas and hints of plum and thyme over an attractive violet backdrop. Juicy in the mouth, the fine, chalky tannins vie for dominance initially before lending a pleasant shape to the flow. The flavor is intense and sustained, leaving a touch of fruit behind at the end. Drink 2021 - 2023. 92/100."
Joaquin Hidalgo - Vinous.com
Saint-Chinian: Château Milhau-Lacugue 'Les Truffières' 2017
"A red to which I return almost every year is Château Milhau Lacugue Les Truffières 2017, Saint Chinian, France, which Yapp sells with a few years of age on it so that the roasted plum and wild thyme scent of the syrah-grenache blend has begun to take on a few more bosky notes."
Victoria Moore - The Telegraph.
