Sommelier Selections Mixed Case Offer
Wines of the moment picked by professional palates.
We have the privilege of collaborating with some of the best sommeliers in the country, so we thought we would ask them which of our wines they would recommend for sampling in the weeks ahead.
This mixed case contains two bottles each of:
SPARKLING WHITE:
Alsace: Léon Beyer Crémant d'Alsace Brut
"A blend of Auxerrois and Pinot Blanc with a lovely prise de mousse and golden colour with fine bubbles, fresh aromas of strawberries, raspberries and redcurrants. It has a flinty minerality, it is elegant, dry, refreshing and juicy. I would serve it as an apéritif."
Rémi Cousin - Le Gavroche, Mayfair.
WHITE:
Côtes du Rhône Villages Sablet: Domaine Saint Gayan 'L'Oratory' 2022
"A bright and lively Côte du Rhône Blanc with lifted floral notes, soft lemon balm, and beautiful weighted stone-fruit aromas of white peach and soft apricot. The wine has a lifted textural palate showing great freshness and a silky finish."
Emma Denney - Claridges, Mayfair.
RED:
Vin de Pays de Vaucluse: Le Petit Caboche 2021
"Generous fruit intensity and strong backbone, with some warming spicy notes on the finish. Very fresh, with a focus on the fruit."
Alexander Pitt - The 10 Cases, Covent Garden.
Lirac: Domaine Maby 'La Fermade' Rouge 2020
"Ripe blackberries & dark cherries on the nose, this classic Southern Rhône blend offers a rich, spicy and savoury wine that will do wonders with your winter roasts and stews. Well-rounded and rustic, this is my definition of a comfort wine."
Alexandre Bal – Authentique, Tufnell Park.
Saint-Pourçain: 'La Ficelle' Rouge 2022
"Plenty of bright and crunchy red fruits – fresh and juicy raspeberries, strawberries and lingonberries – with hints of violet, balanced by vibrant tannins and elegant texture. I love serving it lightly-chilled with roasted vegetables, goat's cheese or charcuterie."
Nadia Khan - The Frog by Adam Handling, Covent Garden.
IGP Méditerranée: Domaine Richeaume 'Cuvée Tradition' Rouge 2020
"Love everything about this wine, the can do attitude of the Hoesch family primarily. They've done everything their own way and carved out their own legacy in their region. This wine is a beaut, proper old school 'grand vin' vibe to the wine."
Shane McHugh - Goodman Restaurants, London.
