This mixed case includes

1 x Bourgogne Chardonnay: Closerie des Alisiers 2017£0.00

This wine is a classic, unoaked, crisp Chardonnay which is an ideal starting point for exploring our white Burgundy range. Made by savvy, young négociant, Stéphane Brocard, who was instrumental in helping us develop our Burgundy offering, it's a delicious, crisp and unoaked example to savour on its own or with a simple dish of fruits de mer.

1 x Saumur Blanc 2018£0.00

This crisp, white Saumur wine that is produced from Chenin Blanc on the chalky soils of Anjou is a firm favourite with Yapp customers and staff alike. This may have something to do with the eye-catching Charles de Gaulle label, but more likely is because this Saumur Blanc is a refreshing, fruity, bon marché crowd-pleaser that makes for an ideal aperitif or partner to salads.

1 x Muscadet de Sèvre et Maine Sur Lie: Domaine de la Mortaine 2018£0.00

There's Muscadet, and then there's Muscadet. The Chéreau's bone dry Muscadet which is both 'de Sèvre et Maine' and 'Sur Lie' has been consistently excellent since we first shipped it 40 years ago. This zesty, palate-tingling wine makes a bracing aperitif, and goes down a treat with oysters, mussels and other 'fruits de mer'.

1 x Bergerac Sec: Domaine de l'Ancienne Cure 2018£0.00

This is a superb Bergerac Sec from an unoaked 'Bordeaux' blend of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Semillon. It is dry and fruity and what the locals call 'vif', with an attractive citrus fruit bouquet and a clean, zesty palate. It is a reliable cocktail hour pick-me-up or partner to salads and seafood.

1 x Pfalz: Pinot Gris vom Kalkstein 2018£0.00

This is just the kind of under-the-radar, great value white that makes German wines the 'open secret' of the UK wine industry. Pure Pinot Gris (Grauer Burgunder), produced on limestone soils just north of Alsace, this crisp white makes for an ideal aperitif or partner to shellfish or Thai cuisine.

1 x Côtes de Gascogne: Domaine Millet Rosé 2018£0.00

Domaine Millet's rosé is a refreshing, dry, coral pink wine, sensibly bottled under screwcap making it handy for picnics and parties.

1 x Côtes du Rhône: Jean-Louis Chave Sélection 'Mon Coeur' 2017£0.00

A deliciously ripe Syrah - Grenache blend Côtes du Rhône wine with a wonderful core of dark, berry fruit supported by a framework of ripe tannin with cooling, grantic notes and a sleek, sophisticated texture. It is readily approachable from release.

1 x Beaujolais Villages: Arnaud Aucoeur 'Vieilles Vignes' 2016£0.00

Classic, red Beaujolais Villages - a lovely, supple, mid-weight Gamay that's a versatile wine for kitchen lunches and suppers and is best served lightly chilled.

1 x Bordeaux Supérieur: Château d'Abzac 2016£0.00

Made from 100% Merlot, this Bordeaux Supérieur from Château d'Abzac is the fruit of our grail-like quest to find an affordable and characterful claret. Already a hit with the Yapp cognoscenti, this precocious 'Petit Château' has alluring red berry aromas preceding a palate with a wealth of cassis flavours, great concentration and fine balance.

1 x Fitou: Domaine des Rebouls 2016£0.00

A juicy, spicy blend of Carignan, Syrah and Grenache from the red wine only appellation of Fitou. It took us a while to find a Fitou we liked, and this one we love.

1 x IGP Vin de Pays de l'Hérault: Domaine Roquemale 'Meli Melo' 2018£0.00

This inspired discovery from a recent foray into the heart of the Languedoc is 100% Alicante, organic and relatively low in alcohol. Think of it as a quaffable, sun-kissed Beaujolais of the South!

1 x Rioja: Marqués de Zearra Crianza 2014£0.00

We know it's across the Pyrenees from our usual patch, but we couldn't resist buying this crackerjack red Rioja that drinks itself. Tempranillo - with 10% Mazuelo (Carignan) - from a small bodega in Fuenmajor, it has 24 months in barrel and 3 years in bottle prior to release, illustrating the great value to be found in La Rioja.
